We believe that the ministry is a team sport involving the entire church rather than a select few do (Eph 4:10-12). We are all servants working together. Emmanuel is governed by elder-led congregationalism; a congregational polity that is led by pastors who are assisted by deacons.

Pastor Jayson Byrd is a native of West Virginia and functions as the primary pastor-teacher at Emmanuel. He is a theological conservative committed to a God-Centered and Gospel-Driven expression of Biblical Christianity. Jeremy’s people and administrative gifts having him wearing many hats at Emmanuel. He is a graduate of Fairmont State University and is the Market President at First Community Bank. Outside of work and serving at EBC he is active in many community organization and keeping up with his young family.
Jamie serves as the church office manager and music coordinator at Emmanuel.
Rev. C. Richard Phelps began his ministry at Emmanuel in 1975 and continued through 1988.
